Our mission is to empower organizations to protect our nation, our businesses, our families and our way of life
Security is not just about protecting company assets and preserving profits. It's not just about differentiating yourself from your competition and preventing your intellectual property from getting in your competitor's hands. It's not just about keeping the shareholders and board of directors happy. It's about life. It's about preserving life. It's about enhancing life. It's about protecting life.
Security is about protecting your retirement savings that you worked your whole life to build. Security is about making sure that your grandma doesn't fall victim to another identity theft scam. It's about making sure that the formula used to make life saving drugs is not maliciously or accidentally changed. It's about offering your customer the service or product that you promised them. It's about protecting our infrastructure from outages that would impact your day to day tasks. It's about preserving your privacy when you visit a doctor's office. It's about being able to trusting that the technologies use to drive your car or autopilot used to fly your plane. It's about enabling those that protect us to save our lives.
Welcome! After spending the last decade and a half building cyber security programs for 100 of the top Fortune 500 companies, I knew it was time to branch off and start Mendo management and consulting services. It's not because I wasn't feeling challenged or because I wanted recognition as an expert in my field. It was because I have two little nieces growing up in this world not knowing that, just as my nephew does, they too have the ability to be successful women in Technology and even start their own cyber security business if they choose to.
It's hard to believe that in 2022 women still make up less than a quarter of the cyber security workforce and that the list women cyber security business owners make up a single page in the cyber security magazine I read last month which dedicated an article to promoting and displaying women owned cyber security businesses. I'm only one person and as much as I wish I could change the disparity in the cyber security industry myself, I know I can't. But what I can do is run a successful cyber business and be that role model to a few little girls who wonder if they too can be a successful pursuing a career in technology or cyber security. I hope you will join me.
